UFIDA, is one of the most famous ERP company in China, its product is ranked as 1 of the 3 most valuable ERP ware provider in mainland.

Well, it is not difficult to install it.

requirements: an Intel X86 based server with windows 2000/windows 2003 installed.( the UFIDA U8 V8.21 or earlier that we were using only works on Windows 2000)
MS Sql server 2000.

above software can be Chinese or English version.

A list of the software that i had installed:
1. Windows Server 2003 English Standard R2
2. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 English Standard
3. Ufida U8 ERP V 852

step 1: install the OS.
Make a 20GB partition on drive C, 80GB partition on drive D.
Install Windows 2003 with Asia language support.
Install all update/patches.

Step 2: install MS SQL 2000.
run setup from the SQL 2000 CD, install as default instance. create a strong SA password.
after reboot, install SQL SP4, reboot again.

step 3: install UFIDA.
run setup from the first install CD.....

step 4: restore data.

step 5: install client.
run install as administrator, chose client and select necesary module, then click install, the client user may need have the local power user privilege in order to run properly.this is not necessary to grand them the power user role of you are willing to modify the privilege in registry,there are only 2 key privilege need to be changed from read-only to modify.

register the client to the server by input the server ip in the client network configuration tool.
